Hull boss Phil Brown has confirmed he is interested in bringing Michael Owen to the KC Stadium.
The former England striker is out of contract at Newcastle at the end of the month and is looking for a move back to the Barclays Premier League. The Tigers want to strengthen their attacking options after only beating the drop by a single point last season.
Brown said in the Hull Daily Mail: "It's something that has been sounded out as a possibility, but, as yet, there has been no offer put to Michael. He has got a proven track record as a goalscorer and that's an area we are keen to strengthen, but it would have to be on the right terms."

I saw him play against Hull City last season and he was poor. He used to be the best but the Tiger's don't want to be landed with another Jimmy Bullard situation and Sicknote Owen. Anyway he thinks he's toooo good to play for Hull
come on you ULLLLLLLL
Owen's mgoals/minutes played ratio is great, but injuries are the problem. From the evidence, he will NEVER again have an injury-free season (meaning, for me, that he will always miss at least 1/3 of the season). His wages should reflect that. If he is wise he will re-connect with his reality.
haha Michael Owen; 2004-05 he left Liverpool to win trophies...since then he has been dropped by England, been relegated with Newcastle, and now possibly signing for Hull... oh and no trophies...serves him right that traitor.(however he is more loaded than if he stayed at LFC)
For all the comments made about Michael Owen, just remember this, last season, even though he suffered from injuries, he was the joint top scorer with 8 goals. Just think what he could have done had he been injury free. Having read some of the information surfacing about Newcastles handling of Owens training, I think they only have themselves to blame for the problems he had.
hey up connolly,mate.
dont be so @#$% michael mate,he did a superb job at nufc.its not his fault,he was told this was a big club, looking for honours.he soon realised he,d made a huge mistake.anyway col/mate you just keep paying in to the toon kitty,it will be a long long time before you get a prolific goal scorer,if he goes to hull it will show just how bad the rest of the toon team are,and of coarse you still have them, dont you.
So that will be £40,000 a week = £2000,000 a year plus £20,000 for appearances so lets say he has a good season and plays 20 games, that will be a further £400,000 plus £10,000 per goal, another £100,000 so that will total £2500,000 a year, your kidding are'nt you, the lad will never get out of bed for that, have you not read the brochure highlighting his strengths, what a cheek.
Try £4000,000 a year with free medical care and £500,000 bonus to be paid upon relegation, the lads got a field full of stallions to feed you know.
