Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has agreed to sign Swedish international Sebastian Larsson from his old club Birmingham City.
The 26-year-old midfielder will officially join Sunderland on July 1, the Premier League team said on their website (www.safc.com) on Wednesday.
Bruce spent five seasons in charge of Birmingham before moving to Wigan Athletic. He became Sunderland manager in June 2009.
Sunderland finished 10th in the league last season while Birmingham were relegated to the Championship (second division).

I dont care what Larsson does as long as he keeps the ball off the opposition and scores loads of goals!! We know he can hit a free kick and he'll still be better than Henderson! Still cant believe they Scouse twats paid £20m for that prick, big windows at Anfield I reckon, must have seen us coming, ha ha ha ha ha. Lets sign a couple of defenders and two recognised strikers to give Gyan some support. If not weve no @#$% ambition!!

firstly Larsson isnt a defender, he is a midfield player. Secondly, all players as you say cuddle the attackers and the way to stop it is for the officials to actully watch what is going on and award penalty's against the offenders. Quite simple really t, the laws are ther , they are just not applied other than at the refs discretion , which is wrong.
Hope this new defender knows to watch the ball defending corners and free kicks instead of being more interaste in cuddling the attackers.
