Leeds United will take a close look at former Boca Juniors and Barcelona striker Luciano Becchio in the pre-season friendly with Shelbourne.Becchio has been training with Leeds on their mini tour of Ireland and the club have now received international clearance for him to play.

The 24-year-old started out at Boca Juniors in Argentina before moving to Spain where he has played for Barcelona and Mallorca.

Becchio, who scored 28 goals in 50 appearances for Spanish second division side Merida last season, will return to England with Gary McAllister's squad ahead of Saturday's friendly with Barnet.
