Former Falkirk defender Lecsinel Jean-Francois is hoping to earn a return to the SPL after landing a trial with Jimmy Calderwood's Aberdeen. The 22-year-old is currently with Guingamp - but he has already tasted Scottish football having spent time with Falkirk earlier in his career.

He is now training with the Dons and hopes to earn a move back to Scotland.

"I like Scottish Football and like Aberdeen I have already played against this club when I was at Falkirk," he told The Dons' website.

"I heard that the manager liked my profile and that is why I was interested in coming here.

"When I was here before I was very young 18, 19. It was hard because I was away from my family. I am now older though.

"I am going to with the squad on Wednesday [on tour to Holland] and hopefully I will get a chance to play and show the manager what I can do."
