Barnet have been rewarded for their respect to match officials by having more than half of a £5,000 suspended fine waived. The Bees were handed the suspended fine as a result of their poor disciplinary record in 2006/07, but that has now been reduced to £2,000.
Early last season the Bees decided to introduce a scheme whereby only the captain could speak to the referee during games, which received worldwide publicity.
A statement on the club's official website read: "The FA admitted the decision to waive the £3,000 was a result of the publicity engendered by the Barnet FC initiative of only the skipper talking to referees."
