Peterborough striker Rene Howe has agreed to join League Two outfit Morecambe on a season-long loan deal for the 2008/09 campaign.Howe, 21, enjoyed successful spell on loan at Rochdale during the second half of last season, scoring nine goals.

He will travel to Morecambe this week for a medical after opting to join the Shrimps ahead of several other clubs.

Morecambe vice-chairman Graham Hodgson said: "We are delighted to have signed Rene Howe.

"He made a real mark at Rochdale last season and he has chosen us ahead of a number of other clubs, which is great news for us."
