Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Matt Jarvis insists he is raring to prove his worth ahead of the new Championship campaign. The 22-year-old missed the first two months of last term after picking up a hip injury in pre-season, meaning he did not make his first start for the club until the beginning of December.
But with his injury problems behind him, he is desperate to rekindle a promising partnership he set up with left-back George Elokobi towards the end of the campaign.
Referring to his injury nightmare, Jarvis told the club's official website: "Thankfully that's all in the past and, like the rest of the boys, I'm getting back into the swing of things. We have worked hard over the summer and we can't wait for the season to start.
"George and I have worked on things at the training ground and I think the last game of the season against Plymouth was our best together.
"It was just a shame the season ended when it did. We want to make our partnership on the left even stronger. George is so full of energy and enthusiasm, it's great to work with him."
