Jewell to continue spending spree

Derby boss Paul Jewell is targeting a new wide player as he looks to conclude his squad building prior to the new season.Jewell has already signed 11 players since Derby were relegated from the Premier League last season but still wants more.

"I am looking for another wide player," he told the club's official website: "Someone who can give us a bit of pace and a trick.

"We are still looking to improve all areas of the squad."

The Derby manager warned that there could also be casualties in order to bring in new faces.

He added: "There might be some people who leave to enable some more to come in."
