Paris Saint Germain president Charles Villeneuve has admitted he would love to sign Arsenal defender William Gallasv this summer.Reports last weekend suggested PSG were lining up a swoop to sign the fomer Marseille star as they look to assemble a squad capable of challenging Lyon in Ligue 1.
PSG have been busy in the transfer market, bringing in experienced performers Claude Makelele and Ludovic Giuly - and Villeneuve would welcome the prospect of Gallas moving to the French capital.
When asked about interest in Gallas at the unveiling of Makelele, Villeneuve said: "We would be happy to be given a ring by William Gallas, very pleased.
"But for the moment there's no news."
The prospect of a move to PSG for Gallas seems improbable, though, with the player and Arsenal unlikely to entertain a switch away from the Emirates.

That is a no no! I am just wondering what our performance is going to be like this season. We were a depleted side getting to the end of last season. And now we've lost the likes Flamini, Hleb and Gilberto. We haven't made any major signing yet aside nasri(who is even 50/50). Thus we haven't even got a replacement for the lost ones yet let alone adding to it. I forsee a terrible season ahead at the present state. Could someone give a shout to wenger?
Even though Gallas has had his hissy fits and thrown tantrums at walcott now would not be a good time for him to leave Arsenal considering the loss of flamini, hleb and possibly adebayor.
