Beijing 2008 - South Korea protest rejected

The International Handball Federation has rejected a protest filed by South Korea against Norway's win through a last-gasp goal in the semi-final.

Norway beat South Korea 29-28 on Thursday after Norwegian centre back Gro Hammerseng scored a goal in the last second of the match.

Korean coach Lim Young-chul said Korean television reporters told him the ball crossed the goal line just after the buzzer signalled the end of the game. But the federation said a disciplinary commission had confirmed the result of the match.
