Matty Fryatt grabbed his third goal of the season to give Leicester a 1-0 victory over Barnsley.
The Foxes were the brighter of the two sides and got the goal their performance deserved eight minutes after half-time when Fryatt produced a tidy finish past Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele.
The win continued Leicester's fine start to life back in the Championship, while Barnsley are still looking for their first league win of the season.
Leicester started well and Paul Gallagher, making his Foxes debut after joining from Blackburn, crossed for Robbie Neilson who saw his shot well saved by Steele.
Barnsley gradually began to get into the game and Jamal Campbell-Ryce's shot was blocked by Wayne Brown with Anderson De Silva firing the rebound over the bar from 25 yards.
The goal rocked Barnsley and Leicester almost doubled their lead moments later when Matt Oakley's corner found Richie Wellens but he shot over from close range.

Davey is a coward will not go away
unless pushed.
Cryrne is too tight
to compensate the Welsh W.anker

LEICESTER!!!! Fryatt contender for golden boot
Time 4 a new manager at Barnsley i think. Starting the season where we left off in the bottom few. Mr Davey why dont you get your p45 and give Barnsley a chance of staying up. And get a manager with passion 4 the club, not one who blames every thing to luck. LEAVE NOW AND GIVE US A CHANCE.
