Leeds forward Jamie Peacock was on Monday named as Great Britain captain for the Gillette Fusion Test Series against New Zealand, which starts at Huddersfield on Saturday.
The 29-year-old former Bradford second rower led the Lions in the Tri-Nations Series of 2005 and 2006 in the absence of Paul Sculthorpe and keeps the job for the three matches against the Kiwis.
He got the nod ahead of Warrington forward Adrian Morley, who led Britain in Peacock's absence in the mid-season Test against France and also captained the Northern Union in Saturday's centenary international against the All Golds.
"Jamie has done a terrific job in the absence of Paul Sculthorpe and, once we came through fit from the Grand Final series, he was a fairly obvious choice," coach Tony Smith told a news conference at Headingley.
Morley was cleared to play on Saturday after a video review panel ruled he had no case to answer after being put on report for an alleged high tackle during the All Golds match.
Peacock's Leeds team-mate Danny McGuire has been ruled out of the opening Test, however, after x-rays revealed his sustained a fractured hand in Saturday's international.
"He won't be able to play this weekend but there is no displacement and we think he he will be available for the last two games," said Smith.
Hull centre Kirk Yeaman was able to train today despite aggravating an ankle strain against the All Golds and Wigan loose forward Sean O'Loughlin has fully recovered from a hand injury.
