Marco Fu is into the top 16 of the provisional world rankings after winning the Royal London Watches Grand Prix.
The 29-year-old from Hong Kong scored a surprise 9-6 victory over Ronnie O'Sullivan in the final at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
He jumps 20 places in the rankings to 15.
"I've been to a lot of quarter and semi-finals but there's a big step between that and winning a title. I just needed a bit of luck, I got that today and I played the best snooker of my career," said Fu after becoming the third Asian player after James Wattana and Ding Junhui to win a ranking title.
O'Sullivan was denied an end to his ranking title drought, which stretches back to his 2005 Irish Masters success 31 months ago, but does climb four places on the latest list to two.
John Higgins remains top of the list despite losing to Fu in the last 16, with Shaun Murphy down to third following defeat to O'Sullivan in the semi-finals. The other beaten semi-finalist, Gerard Greene, flies up 12 places to 25.
China's Liu Song enjoyed a brilliant run to the quarter-finals and leaps 34 spots to 57.
