Frank Lampard's return to goalscoring form in Chelsea's Champions League win over Atletico Madrid pleased manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Chelsea 4-0 Atletico Madrid
Carlo Ancelotti: "I'm happy for (Frank) Lampard. I think that Lampard is not only important for scoring goals: he's important because he works for 90 minutes on the pitch for the team. We are in control now of this group, but our aim is to arrive in first place. That's important for our future in the Champions League, and it's still not certain. We have to secure more points in the group. It's not been easy without suspended Didier Drogba, but all the players have done very well in this competition so far."
Abel Resino: "It's one of those bitter tastes. We probably had as many chances as Chelsea, but the ball just didn't want to go in the net for us. It's not going for us. That's football. I'm not just thinking about the group. I've also got to worry about our league form back home. It gets more and more difficult when your confidence is down."
CSKA Moscow 0-1 Manchester United
Juande Ramos: "We had our chances but we didn't take them. I think we had a very good first half and in the second half we had chances in the first 10 minutes. We made it very hard for them for an hour. We have lost but we still have three games and we are going to fight for our chances."
Alex Ferguson: "We are very pleased with our performance. The situation in the group is now nine points. I have always maintained that you need 10 to qualify. We now have a home game against CSKA in two or three weeks' time which we hope can take us to the next stage. Experience in these sort of situations is always vital. We had to have the patience to win, and we did that."
Real Madrid 2-3 Milan
Manuel Pellegrini: "We lost our shape after going 2-1 down and Milan made the most of it."
Leonardo: "We played an incredible second half. We were much better, we were never vulnerable at the back, we created chances and turned the game to 2-1. Even though they got back to 2-2 I never thought we would lose. The important thing for me today was the team spirit I saw out there on the pitch today."
Bordeaux 2-1 Bayern Munich
Laurent Blanc: "We made sure it remained tense until the end. Bayern put us under pressure at first. They were a bit lucky to score but that actually helped us get into the match. We reacted well by scoring two goals but should have scored a few more. Missing two penalties is not acceptable. That's something we'll have to work on in training. Set pieces are important."
Louis van Gaal: "We were actually better in the second half with 10 men than in the first half with 11. We made far too many mistakes in the first half after opening the scoring and that's irritating."
Juventus 1-0 Maccabi Haifa
Ciro Ferrara: "For us the win was important, not what happened in the other match. It's a group that seems to be very close. The Champions League is very tight, and we saw that on Tuesday night with some results that no one expected. Of course, we could have done better, but we have the number of points that we deserve. I'm very satisfied with tonight and also how many points we have in the group. Things are looking good."
Elisha Levy: "We played well but we can't get carried away because we haven't got anything out of it. Of course I'm a bit bitter about the result but I can't be anything but satisfied with this young team, who played with a lot of commitment."
Zurich 0-1 Marseille
Bernard Challandes: "Maybe we're too young for the Champions League. We were too naive at (Gabriel) Heinze's goal."
Didier Deschamps: "I didn't see a great match. We started very passively until the last few minutes of the first half, there was a lot of physical play and impact and Zurich didn't have any chances. We can do better."
Wolfsburg 0-0 Besiktas
Armin Veh: "We did not score when we could have. I think we were unlucky as well. Our crosses were a bit too long. We seemed to play well up until the box. We wanted those three points."
Mustafa Denizli: "The second half proved what a good team we have. We played to win, but were unable to take advantage of our positions. The match in Istanbul (against Wolfsburg) will carry us up the table. Our attitude will not be too different when we play Manchester United away: we will also go to England to win. I think we will take at least seven points from the group."
Porto 2-1 APOEL Nicosia
Jesualdo Ferreira: "Our position in the table is fair and our wins were fair. Logic may lead us to believe that passing to the next stage is very close... but from experience we know that the final two or three Champions League group match days sometimes produce illogical results. We needed a strong, serene and intelligent Porto to beat this opponent but things got complicated with their goal."
Ivan Jovanovic: "I have no complaints about my players but I think we could have played better. We did make some mistakes and at this level mistakes are costly."
