Carlisle boss Greg Abbott admits he is experiencing the most difficult period of his managerial career.

The Cumbrians have failed to win in their last seven League One games and Abbott knows they must arrest their alarming slide.

When asked if he was going through his most testing time in management, he said: "Yes, it probably is.

"I'm reliant, all I can do is put the thing together. When those players cross the white line they have to perform.

"And to be fair to them they have accepted the responsibility along with myself which is fantastic, but the responsibility stops with myself."
