Paul Black is targeting a run in the first team this season as he aims to establish himself in the Oldham back four.

The 19-year-old defender has made the bench several times this season but has yet to make an appearance.

And Black, who made his debut in March 2008, has vowed to work hard to earn a place in the team.

He told the official website: "I think my biggest goal for this season is to get a stint in the first team, to show the gaffer what I have to offer.

"I have to work hard and my chance will come, I know that."
