Experienced Exeter goalkeeper Andy Marriott is hoping to keep his place for Saturday's League One game at home to basement side Wycombe.
With regular keeper Paul Jones ruled out by a knee injury, Marriott took over between the sticks from on-loan Tottenham teenager Oscar Jansson for the 3-0 defeat at Walsall.
It was Marriott's first league start of the season, and he said: "It was very nice to be back in the team and the desire is to stay in the team for as long as possible now.
"I'm 39 but I`ve still got the same hunger to play."
