Barnsley striker Miguel Mostto was in the Peru side who crashed 5-1 to Ecuador whilst Lewin Nyatanga helped Wales earn a 0-0 draw in Germany.Mostto returned to the starting line-up in Quito for the World Cup qualifier after being left out of the side that secured an impressive 1-1 draw with Brazil in Lima on Sunday.
Ecuador, who had lost their first three qualifiers, were 3-0 up at half-time, while Andres Mendoza scored Peru's late consolation.
Mostto, who arrived at Oakwell in July from Peruvian side Cienciano, has made 10 appearances for the Tykes this season, scoring one goal.
Meanwhile, Lewin Nyatanga, on loan from Derby since July, played the full 90 minutes for Wales in their final Euro 2008 qualifier against Germany which ended goalless in Frankfurt.
