Edinburgh coach Andy Robinson has demanded his side find a "ruthless" streak after their run of six games without a win.
Robinson has named Scotland international Simon Webster in his team for Sunday's home clash against Llanelli Scarlets after a spell on the sidelines with a shin infection.
And the former England head coach wants Edinburgh to give a more complete performance against their Welsh visitors, who will be depleted by international call-ups.
Last Saturday's 39-0 defeat against Leicester Tigers in the Heineken Cup was the result which convinced Robinson changes needed to be implemented.
Five of the players from that game at Welford Road drop out, including injured captain Allister Hogg who passes the skipper's duties to Mike Blair.
And Robinson said: "I just felt we needed to make some changes. A lot of these players have had three or four games to prove themselves and we need to perform better than we have done over the past few weeks."
He added: "I have told them we have to perform well for 80 minutes and start well; that is something we haven't done.
"We have also got to be tougher with ourselves and the opposition, as well as being more ruthless when it comes to scoring our own chances."
Webster's inclusion injects international quality into the backs department, and the Scotland wing will play unless he suffers a setback before Sunday.
"Simon is named in the side and it is important he gets through a week of training," said Robinson. "If he can get through that then he will start.
"I am keen for him to play and he hasn't played at home for about six months. So it is really important we get him playing and performing against a very good side."
Ben Cairns makes way to accommodate Webster's return, while Robinson has overhauled his pack, making four changes.
Ross Rennie replaces Hogg in the back row, where Roland Reid comes in for Simon Cross. New Zealander Matt Mustchin takes over from Craig Hamilton in the second row, and prop Craig Smith takes the place of Gavin Kerr.
Scarlets will be without Wales internationals Dwayne Peel, Alix Popham, Stephen Jones, Morgan Stoddart and Mark Jones, who will be on international duty on Saturday against South Africa.
