Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola said he was concerned over an injury to Lionel Messi that forced the Argentine forward to be substituted during their 1-1 draw at Athletic Bilbao in La Liga.
Messi was replaced in the 75th minute by Bojan Krkic at San Mames with what appeared to be a torn left thigh muscle, the club said.
"We took him off because he was in pain. We'll do more tests tomorrow but the outlook is not good," Guardiola said.
Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic also missed the game with a thigh strain, while Eric Abidal and Yaya Toure were laid low with the HIN1 virus and Rafael Marquez also missed the trip to Bilbao with suspected swine flu.
The mounting injury list comes at a bad time for the European champions who host Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday when a defeat combined with a win for Rubin Kazan would put them out of the competition.
Next Sunday they take on the new La Liga leaders Real Madrid at the Nou Camp.

I don't realy like the style of predicting results b4 the match i know 1 thing 4 sure is that real/barca are going to line up eleven players on the pitch so the ball will be judged on the field of play but have this in mind if you're a barca or a madrid fan the best attacking team will win..........Hala Madrid
#19 I find it funny how ignorant you are. Real Madrid is #1 right now, and we havent had Ronaldo play for us for about 7 weeks? I find it funny how quickly Barca fans forget the points that prove that Real Madrid is the team to watch this season.
Keep being an ignorant moron.
Viva Real Madrid.
Who says barca needs messi and ibra? Barcelona have Henry , Bojan and Pedro. They can do the job against Inter if not barca is out and we will see about the real madrid game.
Well real Madrid sucks so bad we don't even need Messi to destroy them
At #11, We also remember one thing, Rubin Kazan at the Camp Nou, what was it? 1-2 Kazan?
This is such Karma, Real Madrid was devastated by injuries last season, seems like its Barca's turn this season. Lets hope Messi and Ibra will be out for a while, long enough for Barca to drop out of the Champions League and fall to 3rd in La Liga. Aint this Ironic now? Im just laughing inside right now, all that bullsh1t talking from Barca fans since that Alcoron game and now this. this deserves a "lmao"
Viva Real Madrid
This is now the reversal of last year. Last year all the Real players were hurt before el classico and now Barca has the injuries.
Barça B can easily beat Real Madrid XI !!
F***k those Madridista Fascists !!
without messi barca is a @#$%
Ahhhhhhhhhhh what a shame poor poor Messi what will BarcaNUBBLA do now ????
People will remember only one thing, rubin took 4 point from you, they even beat you at camp nou hehe. Hala madrid:P
i hope Messi will be able to play in both matches vs inter and real good luck Messi :P:P:P:P:P:P
I HATE REAL MADRID and people remember one thing ALCORCON
i hope messi will be able to play in bothe matches vs inter and real good luck messi :P:P:P:P:P:P
i HATE REALLL

I agree with getachew, I also hope Messi plays against Madrid and that Madrid win :) good luck Barca, but I hope Real will beat you :)
hope to see all barca players well and good, for two reasons
1 i don't hate any of them
2 i want to see all barca players lose against madrid in el classico
