Barnsley manager Simon Davey insists nationality makes no difference to him after further adding to his foreign legion this week. The Tykes have reached a pre-contract agreement to sign Spanish midfielder Diego Leon from Swiss side Grasshopper Zurich on January 1.
And Davey told the club's official website: "Diego is just another player in our group and we have a lot of players from abroad who have done very well for us this season.
"It does not matter where he is from as long as he contributes to Barnsley Football Club. His nationality makes no difference to me.
"Diego is a player who could go straight into the side and improve us.
"Hopefully just having him in the squad will make some players push their game on even further and improve us."
