Guinness Prem - Sarries stay in touch with leaders

Eurosport - Sat, 22 Dec 19:13:00 2007

Neil de Kock - Saracens - 0

Saracens scored three tries and, after Glen Jackson had cancelled out an early Adrian Jarvis penalty, led for the remainder of the match to secure their sixth win from eight league games.

The result leaves Saracens third in the Premiership, four points adrift of leaders Bath and level with second-place Gloucester, who travel to Newcastle on Sunday.

Scrum-half Neil de Kock (pictured) scored Sarries' first try in the 34th minute and Jackson slotted the conversion to give the visitors a 10-3 lead going into the break.

Jackson extended that lead with his second penalty nine minutes after the restart and Saracens then took a firm grip of the game when full-back Brent Russell touched down minutes later.

Quins bounced back with a try from Tani Fuga on the hour mark to cut the deficit to 13-20, but moments later Rodd Penney added a third for Saracens.

A try from wing Simon Keogh in the 73rd minute earned Harlequins a losing bonus point and fourth spot in the table until Leicester play Sale on Sunday.
