Brown: Bridge must knuckle down

Wed 23 Jan, 05:15 PM

Hull striker Michael Bridges has been urged to "knuckle down" and play his way into contention at the KC Stadium by manager Phil Brown.Bridges has rejoined City after a three-month loan spell with Sydney FC and despite reported interest from a cluster of League One clubs, Brown insists the 29-year-old could still have a future at the KC Stadium.

"I have said all along that I will treat Michael the same as any other Hull player," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.

"There has been talk of interest for him in Australia but for now, it's up to him to get back into our plans and knuckle down.

"Any interest in Michael in England has been paper-talk as far as I'm concerned because no manager has been on the phone."
