Coventry boss Iain Dowie expects to complete the signing of Walsall's Dan Fox and another unnamed player before the weekend. The Sky Blues, who had a transfer embargo lifted last week, look set to make Fox their first January signing after having a bid for the highly-rated left-back accepted by the League One club on Tuesday.
Dowie is also hopeful of tying up a deal for a goalkeeper as Andy Marshall is expected to be out until mid-February with back problems.
"We are getting close and have identified who we want and I would be very surprised if we haven't got one or two in by the weekend," said Dowie.
"We are waiting for a phone call and hopefully we can push the button on that."
