Stanley slash ticket prices

Wed 23 Jan, 05:31 PM

Accrington chief executive Rob Heys has confirmed the club will reduce ticket prices for their rearranged fixture with Brentford.Brentford are set to complain to the Football League after Saturday's match was called off 90 minutes before kick-off due to a waterlogged pitch, after the game had been given the go-ahead by a Football League appointed official at 10am.

Heys told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I'm not sure what the pricing will be, but there will be reduced prices for home and away fans as a goodwill gesture.

"It's important to remember that it was not just Brentford supporters that were disappointed.

"We had supporters coming from Ireland, Scotland and South Wales, plus an Accrington fan came all the way from Milan for the game.

"We did not want to mislead anybody. There was no doubt in our mind that the game would go ahead."
