League One Bristol Rovers shocked Fulham at the Memorial Ground in a night of penalty drama in the FA Cup.

FOOTBALL Bristol Rovers players celebrate FA Cup third round replay v Fulham - 0

All three third round replays up for decision went to penalties with Derby County and Barnet joining Rovers in the fourth round.

Bristol Rovers 0-0 Fulham (Rovers win 5-3 on penalties)

In terrible conditions Craig Disley was the hero for Rovers as he scored the winning spot-kick after 120 minutes of stalemate.

The home side converted all five of their penalties, while Jimmy Bullard, who had been Fulham's best player, missed the Cottagers' opening spot kick that ultimately proved crucial.

Rovers were full value for their victory, and could have even won it in normal time with David Pipe and Andrew Williams both forcing Tony Warner into great saves.

At the other end Steve Phillips made smart saves from David Healy and Clint Dempsey but the game always looked like it was heading to penalties.

The kicks were taken in front of the Fulham fans but Rovers kept the advantage once Bullard's tame effort was saved.

On a miserable night for Roy Hodgsen's side - Dejan Stefanovic was sent-off just before the end of extra-time for a second bookable offence.

Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Derby (Derby win 4-2 on penalties)

Lewis Price was the hero for Derby as he saved penalties from Glenn Whelan and Kenny Lunt to hand the Rams a home tie with Preston.

Craig Fagen converted the winning spot kick as, just like in the first tie, Derby were forced to come from behind against their Championship opponents.

Steve Watson turned in a cross from Jermaine Johnson early in the first-half to put the Owls in front and Derby were lucky to be only one down after an opening 45 minutes dominated by Wednesday.

However, once Kenny Miller curled home two minutes after the break, Derby began to stamp their authority on a physical contest.

Neither side could find a winner though and the game headed to penalties, but it never looked like Derby would lose the shoot-out once Wednesday had missed their opening two spot-kicks.

Barnet 1-1 Swindon (Barnet win 2-0 on penalties)

Swindon missed all four of their penalties as they crashed out to League Two Barnet at Underhill.

Robins striker Billy Paynter put the League One visitors in front in the first-half but then the same player scored at the other end to level matters up.

The Bees had Michael Leary sent off for a two-footed tackle on Sofiene Zaaboub but they hung on for penalties and Joe O'Cearuill's and Anthony Thomas' spot-kicks proved to be enough.
