The Malian - currently playing at the African Cup of Nations - believes he is close to ending an unhappy spell at Liverpool.

The 23-year-old has been a peripheral figure since the signing on loan of Javier Mascherano last January, with the Argentinian installing himself as Rafa Benitez's preferred holding midfielder.

His sale could help to fund the permanent purchase of Mascherano for around £17 million.

"It's a question of a few days -- everything will be decided in three days, four at the maximum," Sissoko told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Sissoko, who played for Auxerre and Valencia before moving to Anfield, described himself as a lifelong Juve fan.

"Wearing the shirt of Juventus would be the top for me. I have supported Juventus since I was a child," he said.

"When I was little, I was obsessed with (Zinedine) Zidane and if you loved Zidane, you loved Juve."

Sissoko has started 42 Premier League games for Liverpool in two-and-a-half seasons, with his only goal coming at Sunderland last August.
