Championship - Ehiogu out for season

Sheffield United defender Ugo Ehiogu is not expected to play again this season, according to Blades manager Kevin Blackwell.

Ehiogu ruptured his Achilles tendon in a game at Wolves on Boxing Day and has since undergone surgery.

Blackwell told the Sheffield Star: "Ugo has had the op. He was in a plaster pot but that's come off now and he's just got a 'shoe' on.

"It's a case of resting it now. You never know but I'd be surprised if he played again this season because that's usually a four to six month job."
