League One - Huddersfield sign Pilkington, Ainsworth

League One side Huddersfield have completed the double signing of Anthony Pilkington from Stockport and Lionel Ainsworth from Watford.

Midfielder Pilkington, 20, has been a regular fixture in Jim Gannon's first team at Edgeley Park.

He has scored six goals in 30 appearances for the Hatters this season and agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Town.

Ainsworth, 21, who can play in midfield and up front, moved to Watford from Hereford but was loaned back to the League One outfit this term.

He will sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Terriers, subject to a medical.
