Mario Balotelli was once again at the centre of the action when he scored a late penalty to give Manchester City a 3-2 win over Tottenham. But should he even have been on the pitch after kicking Scott Parker in the head?

The Italian came on as a substitute when the title rivals were drawing 2-2 - and after picking up one swift booking, was lucky to escape another when he appeared to stamp on Spurs midfielder Parker while being blocked.
Some pundits - including Match of the Day's Lee Dixon - claimed that it may have been unintentional, but Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp raged that the Italian had gotten away with it. You can watch Harry's reaction in the video below.
And later in the evening, aggrieved Manchester United supporters egged Balotelli's Maserati outside his favourite eatery, forcing him into a quick escape with yolk running down the side of the white car.
Joleon Lescott was also involved in a controversial incident after appearing to elbow Younes Kaboul in the face, leaving the Spurs player on the floor and needing treatment.
Both players could face retrospective action from the FA, but in the heat of the battle both men remained on the pitch.
