Davies targets more goals

Mark Davies hopes he can add to his goal tally and play a part in Bolton boosting their hopes of Barclays Premier League survival.

The midfielder's early goal set Wanderers on their way to victory over Liverpool and the 23-year-old also struck in the opening five minutes against Blackburn just before Christmas.

"I'm starting to feel really sharp, and I think that is because I'm getting a regular run of games in the team," Davies told Wanderers' official website.

"I've enjoyed playing through the middle too and that has meant I have been able to get in these good positions.

"If I can score a few more goals between now and the end of the season then I'm sure we will move up and away from the bottom of the table. It's important that every player does their bit."

Both goals came with Davies' weaker left foot, and he said: "To be honest, even though I'm right footed I seem to score most of my goals with my left foot. It was the same story at Blackburn a few weeks ago too, it's strange how that happens."
