MK Dons will check on Shaun Williams ahead of the trip to Stevenage in npower League One.
Boss Karl Robinson was hoping to name the same side that acquitted itself so admirably in the FA Cup defeat to QPR at Loftus Road when his side travelled to Notts County on Saturday.
However, an injury to Williams in training the day before the league fixture saw the Irishman replaced by Tom Flanagan at the heart of the defence.
Flanagan had an eventful game at Meadow Lane, putting the Dons ahead before conceding the penalty that allowed the hosts to earn a 1-1 draw.
Unless Gary MacKenzie recovers from the groin injury that has kept him out of the last two matches, the 20-year-old will keep his place in the starting XI should Williams not make it.
Daniel Powell, George Baldock, James O'Shea and Anthony McNamee are options for Robinson should he wish to freshen up his midfield.
