Charlton defender Chris Solly is on Team GB's long list for this summer's Olympic Games.
GB boss Stuart Pearce has written to Solly to check his availability and the 21-year-old full-back, who signed a new two-year contract last week, says he would jump at the chance to be involved at London 2012.
"I was absolutely shocked when I received the letter," he told the club's official website.
"I'm delighted to be on the long list, and if I was to make it I would be over the moon. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me.
"I've no idea how long the list is but just to be recognised in that group is a pleasure and a privilege."

Brilliant news Chris.
When you meet Stuart, tell him both Wagstaff and Danny Green are better right wingers than Beckham is nowadays.
well done chris
