Nigel Adkins wants to see more of trialist duo Phil Younghusband and James Simmonds before deciding whether to make their moves permanent.Adkins will monitor the Chelsea midfield pair during the upcoming reserve-team clash with Leeds in order to determine whether the 20-year-olds could emulate the success enjoyed by fellow Stamford Bridge youngster Jack Cork, who has been in impressive form during his loan spell this season.
Simmonds told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "I just want to get some experience and hopefully get a loan move or, if not, at the end of the season get a permanent move.
"I haven't come here to have a jolly. I've come here to get some football."
