Goals from Alan Navarro and Lloyd Dyer inflicted a fifth straight defeat on 10-man Barnet as MK Dons secured top spot with a 2-0 away win.Navarro and Dyer found the net inside the first 17 minutes and when Michael Leary was sent off before the break the result was never in doubt.
In an exciting opening half, Albert Adomah blasted over an open goal and Adam Birchall had a goal ruled out for offside before Dons stunned the home crowd to take the lead after 13 minutes.
Drissa Diallo laid the ball for former Liverpool youngster Navarro to rifle home from 25 yards. The Bees were shell-shocked and were hit again four minutes later when Dyer cut in and hit a superb shot into the top corner from 25 yards.
The game then erupted on the stroke of half-time when Leary was shown a straight red for an elbow on Keith Andrews, who reacted furiously to the foul and had to be held back by several players and manager Paul Ince.
Dons had further chances in a quiet second half where Barnet never looked like getting back in the game, but substitute Colin Cameron and Andrews blasted over.
