Sat 23 Feb, 01:31 PM

Luton manager Mick Harford believes his side can take a lot of positives from their narrow 1-0 defeat at runaway leaders Swansea. The Hatters held out until the 79th minute at the Liberty Stadium - even after seeing Sol Davis sent off for two yellow cards - before Tom Butler grabbed the vital goal that took the Swans 14 points clear at the top.

Luton remain nine points from safety at the other end of the table, but Harford remained positive after the loss.

He said: "We are very frustrated to lose to a goal so late in the game but we can take heart from our display.

"It was a much improved performance and we can take a great deal of confidence from this into our next game.

"With a little more luck and a little more care we could easily have beaten a very good side."
