Pardew tight-lipped on chances

Sat 23 Feb, 02:45 PM

Boss Alan Pardew has refused to "put a target" on Charlton's promotion chances this season but feels they are well equipped for a late surge. The Addicks are well placed to mount an assault on the automatic promotion places but Pardew remains wary of the threat posed by high-flying Bristol City and West Brom, who are both due to visit The Valley during the end of season run in.

"I never put a target on things," Pardew told the club's official website. "We know we've got a bit to do but we've still got two of the top teams to come to our place and everybody has to meet each other.

"It's a question of holding your nerve and being strong in this run and my record has always been good at this time so I'm hoping it stays the same."
