Viking set to land Hearts' Velicka

Norwegian side Viking FK are expected to complete the signing of Hearts striker Andrius Velicka next week.Velicka, who has been on loan to Hearts from FBK Kaunas since the start of last season, is the Edinburgh club's leading scorer with 14 goals in the current campaign.

A fee in the region of £1million is believed to have been agreed to take the 28-year-old to the Tippeligaen side, who are based in the city of Stavanger.

Viking, managed by former Manchester City striker Uwe Rosler, have former Rangers frontman Egil Ostenstad as technical director as ex-Leeds defender Gunnar Halle on their coaching staff.

Talks over personal terms with Velicka should take place at the start of next week.

The transfer window remains open in Norway, where the league season begins at the end of March.
