Viktoria Plzen midfielder Ludovic Sylvestre has revealed that he could move to Watford in the summer if the Hornets earn promotion back to the Premier League.

Frenchman Sylvestre had trials with Leicester City and Watford in the last six months, but opted not to play in the second tier in England.

"The Championship is not an ideal league for me," he told Sport. "The football is very harsh there.

"My agent told me that [Watford] were second so I thought they would play a different style of football.

"But it was the same: their manager [Aidy Boothroyd] confirmed that the Championship is all about fighting and that they will contact me in the summer if they get promoted."

The former Barcelona player is in Plzen on loan from Sparta Prague in order to play first-team football.

He has impressed so far in the Czech league.
