Dons boss to stand by Gallen

Sun 23 Mar, 06:00 PM

MK Dons manager Paul Ince will show his faith in veteran striker Kevin Gallen by handing him a starting berth when they travel to Accrington.Former QPR striker Gallen was guilty of missing a golden opportunity from point-blank range in the dying seconds of Friday's top-of-the-table clash with Peterborough.

Assistant boss Ray Matthias spoke out with words of support for the "gutted" Gallen in the week and Ince will follow suit by naming him alongside Aaron Wilbraham in the Dons' starting XI.

Jemal Johnson will make way, but defender Danny Swailes could return after missing out on the 1-1 draw with Posh due to an ankle strain.

Defender Drissa Diallo has also made a full recovery from his hamstring injury and will give Ince a selection dilemma at the back, while Carl Regan (hamstring) will be given a late fitness test.

The Dons remain at the top of League Two above Peterborough on goal difference, but travel to Stanley eager to return to winning ways.
