Double boost for Daggers clash

Sun 23 Mar, 09:00 PM

Wrexham manager Brian Little could welcome back two key players for the must-win game against Dagenham & Redbridge at the Racecourse Ground.Former Northern Ireland midfielder Jeff Whitley, who has had knee trouble and a virus, returned as an unused substitute during Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Brentford and looks set to feature in the middle of the park.

Veteran Danny Sonner has been struggling with an Achilles problem, but is expected to be available for a game Wrexham have to win if they are to stand a realistic chance of avoiding the drop.

But Little remains without the services of Rob Duffy (knee), Steve Evans (knee), Danny Williams (back) and Eifion Williams (hamstring).

Victory could haul the Dragons off the bottom of the table.
