Lester sidelined for Spireites

Sun 23 Mar, 07:45 PM

Chesterfield will be without Jack Lester for the trip to Bradford after he suffered a badly broken nose in Saturday's win against Accrington. The 26-goal striker got caught in the face in a goalmouth incident and had to be substituted just before half-time in the 4-2 victory.

Lester is expected to be sidelined for up to three weeks as he requires an operation to correct the problem.

Manager Lee Richardson said: "He has been our main goalscorer this season, but we have to get on without him. There's no use grumbling and groaning about it."

Young duo Peter Hartley and David Dowson are both free to play after Sunderland extended their loan deals until the end of the season.
