Reports claim the manager could be handed a summer transfer kitty of up to £12million to bolster his squad.
Having endured two barren seasons, Rangers have already won the CIS Cup and remain in the hunt for three more trophies.
"We will invest heavily in players again this summer," said Murray.
"There was money available to Walter in January - several millions of pounds to spend - and he chose not to.
"It is obvious we are going to strengthen and make resources available to Walter in the summer. We're on the way up as a club.
"The turnaround from this time last year when we were losing to St Johnstone and Dunfermline is simply remarkable."
Meanwhile, Rangers' entire 2,400 ticket allocation for the away leg of the UEFA Cup tie against Sporting Lisbon will be distributed to selected supporters for free at a cost of £51,000 to the club.
