Sun 23 Mar, 08:15 PM

On-loan Cambridge striker Scott Rendell could make his first start for promotion-chasing Peterborough in the London Road clash with Chester.Rendell is expected to come in for Craig Mackail-Smith, who pulled up with a suspected hamstring problem 35 minutes into Friday night's 1-1 draw with MK Dons.

But Posh manager Darren Ferguson could decide that Liam Hatch is next in line to partner top scorer Aaron Mclean after scoring the winner against former club Barnet in February.

Ferguson will have to find a replacement for Claude Gnakpa, who received his 10th booking of the season and serves a two-match suspension.

Winger Chris Whelpdale had a successful return, scoring Peterborough's goal against the league leaders.
