Lithuanian Astana man Tomas Vaitkus dominated a sprint finale to win the Ronde van het Groene Hart in the Netherlands.

Last year's Belgian victor Wouter Weylandt took second in front of Dutchman Bobbie Traksel of Team P3.

After breaking free 35 kilometres into the 204-km race Jens Mouris, Dennis Smit, Eelke Van Der Wal and Maurice Vrijmoed were able to stay away for 50-km before being brought back into the pack.

Belgian Cyclo-Cross star Niko Eeckhout, who ultimately finished fourth, launched the mass sprint finale but Vaitkus was able to dominate from the third position powering his way two bicycle lengths clear of Quick Step rider Weylandt.
