Liverpool's Steven Gerrard unsurprisingly leads the accolades this week after a barnstorming performance against Aston Villa.
HOW IT WORKS
We tot up the marks out of 10 awarded in five national newspapers - The Sun, Daily Mirror, the Mail, The Times and the Guardian - to create a total out of 50. The top player in each position will be rewarded with a spot in the team of the week, while the worst scorers will be named and shamed in our Flops XI.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Fulham's Mark Schwarzer starts between the sticks for our TOTW after keeping nine-man Manchester United at bay with some fine stops.
Micah Richards scored his first goal in eons to help Manchester City past 10-man Sunderland and thus gets a berth in defence.
In midfield it's all about that man Gerrard. Score a hat-trick in a 5-0 win against perceived decent opposition and it's a good bet you'll feature. The papers like your work Stevie G.
Portsmouth's Peter Crouch is rewarded for his brace against Everton with a TOTW spot up front, where he is partnered by the excellent Robin van Persie, who masterminded Arsenal's 3-1 win at Newcastle.

FLOPS OF THE WEEK
Aston Villa fans look away now. Following Villa's 5-0 mauling at Liverpool six of Martin O'Neill's men are shamed with a spot in the FOTW.
The wooden spoon goes to Fabricio Coloccini of Newcastle, however, who was simply dreadful against Arsenal.
Paul Scholes and Park Ji-Sung represent free-falling Manchester United in midfield, with Dimitar Berbatov forming a rather attractive pairing with Manchester City's Robinho up top - that's £64.5 million of talent in the FOTW strikeforce.
