Wed 23 Apr, 03:30 PM

Scunthorpe defender Andy Butler has described the Iron's season in the Championship was "a great test" for himself and his team-mates.Butler has played in the majority of games for the Iron but could not stop them returning to League One after their relegation was sealed with defeat at Crystal Palace.

And the 24-year-old told the club's official website: "It's been a good season for me and I've enjoyed a run in the team.

"It's great to test yourself against players like Kevin Phillips and Dion Dublin - I can learn from that.

"We've been playing really well, but some of the results haven't really shown how we've played, but when you are bottom of the league, little things seem to go against you."
