Ferguson still eyeing the title

Wed 23 Apr, 02:30 PM

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson has insisted his players "must keep going" as long as they have a chance of winning the League Two title. The Posh secured promotion with a 1-0 win over Hereford last weekend but trail league leaders MK Dons by four points with two games of the season remaining.

Dons travel to play-off hopefuls Bradford on Saturday and Ferguson has warned his players not to take their foot off the pedal when his side face Grimsby at Blundell Park at the weekend.

"The lads have had a couple of days off because what they have achieved already is fantastic," he told the Evening Times.

"But we still have two games to go and while there is still a chance of the title we must keep going. MK Dons are obviously favourites, but if they slip up on Saturday we are right back in it as long as we win. The priority now is to take the title race into the last Saturday of the season."
