Northampton midfielder Ryan Gilligan has expressed his desire to remain at Sixfields following a successful season with Stuart Gray's side. The 21-year-old has made 26 starts so far this season, along with 10 appearances as a substitute, and was offered a new deal by the club on Monday.
"We've got a good group of players here and I would like to still be a part of that next season," Gilligan told the club's official website.
"I think the chairman can see we are progressing and I think the team's performances have picked up massively over the last couple of months.
"The team spirit here is great, everybody is willing to put their body on the line for each other and that is the sort of togetherness you need if you are going to be successful."
