Blackpool director Normunds Malnaks has confirmed Simon Grayson will be given funds to bolster his squad during the summer. The Seasiders, who lie four points off the drop zone, are yet to stave off the threat of relegation but they could be safe after this weekend's trip to Plymouth.
And Grayson will spend the summer strengthening his squad for what he hopes another campaign in the second tier of English football.
Malnaks told the Blackpool Gazette: "There has been no game that we haven't given 100 per cent in and from the many games I have seen, there isn't one side that has stood well above our shoulders.
"This should give us all a sense of optimism for next season, even though many promoted clubs find their second season at a higher level is much more difficult.
"Nevertheless the board feels optimistic about the future and the manager will be given additional funds to strengthen the team next season."
